Woke up at 6:30am yesterday for one of the most random thing I've ever done for awhile. Thank God for Chow Vi (The Connex Expert) for following me to Heidelberg Hospital. If it wasn't for him I will probably be lost wandering in the suburbs.

Spent 3 hours in the hospital undergoing a fMRI scan as a volunteer for an Interactivity Brain Research. Had to lay down in the scanner for about 1 hour answering questions about Blood Alcohol Concentration and Global Warming by pressing buttons repetitively. And why volunteer?

All for the sake of $100 :) My first time earning $100 AUSD and it feels so good!!! I need a job, period.

On the lighter side, spent the evening at Gravity Bar for two purposes:

Lina's 18th Birthday

And Malaysia's 50th Year of Independence

And it was our first time clubbing together. Haha.
Desperate times calls for desperate measures......
Random pictures just to update the blog, bleh :X

These pictures were taken when we were at Crown/Circus Entertainment center.
It's been ages since I last played Air Hockey and it was great fun :_)

Today's scrumptious dinner courtesy of Chow Vi and Aik Sin. Sorry Pearly you missed out heaps :(

And the rabbit (Dinner) has grown since - fatter.

Yet another random outing and this time to the Zoo!

Me, Ben, Pearly, Chow Vi, Ching Yi, Ian Soo

Remember the movie Madagascar? These were the little buggers

The leader of the pack.
Did you know that Meerkats rotate their duties around? This Meerkat is supposed to look out for enemies and warn the others when trouble comes. It locates itself in higher ground for scouting purposes. Cool eh?

Self timer action!

Love or Hate?

Posers trying to act cute. -____-"

Didn't know ostrich were that dumb. It was eating bird shits and the Zebra just looked at it.
Pretty funny sight.

The red soil of western Australia

The snake bit Ben and it was a picture perfect moment. Ouchies

And viola, our trip to the village of orang utans and elephants. The "village" was pretty well constructed. They even installed heaters around the place to give the warm feeling of Thailand/Malaysia. You could even find paddy fields and banana plantations at the Zoo.

....and there were no wild monkeys. Bleh

Spent 4hours+ at the Zoo and it was terrific. First time going there and it is worthwhile place to go back but you need more than 4hours to cover the whole place. I didn't get to see the penguins!! Disappointing :(
Sadly our plans to go to the Zoo went down the hill after we found out that the Zoo closes at 5pm on weekdays. So where to? Essendon DFO. It's my first time here after prolonging for ages. IMO however, it is not that great. DFO at Spencer would equate to the needs of the shopper.

Looks like some super huge Megamall BUT it's in conjunction with many other furniture shops and JB Hi-Fi.

After much shopping at DFO we returned home and cooked dinner.
And all these doing is for the sake of
Pearly :P

Yet another weekend of the same routine but this time around Pezhmen and Kharlene paid us a visit. It's been awhile since we had a drink with them. The night was pretty good at the start until things turned sour at the end. It involves burning Marc's feet, Aik Sin getting into a major argument with Marc and a double headbutt by the Sumbo's at Marc to knock him out. Hahaha

Random Days .... taking random shots. Loving night portrait shots.

How cool is this drink? Beats Red Bull anyday

And finally my jersey is here :) Thanks Dana!
Sadly, Man Utd lost :( The last time I got a new jersey, Man Utd lost to Arsenal (Adebayor) Superstitious?
To welcome Pearly to Melbourne for her first time, we brought her to Greco's Crown, I've been here for 4 years and I've never been to Greco's myself. The usual joined the celebration and as you can see we stuffed ourselves with sinful cakes.

Talk about randomness, Marc and I bought a pet rabbit for no reason and named him Dinner. Maybe the pet game at Facebook partly played a part in our random quest.
Stayed up the whole night doing my assignment and partly also to watch Tevez make his debut.

Made our way to IQ Apartments - Free Foxtel at 4:35
That is not my watch by the way

Fought through the breezing wind with empty stomachs and decided to do random things like so and Marc wanted to be a more extreme - lying down on tram tracks. Not happening.

And voila! the match begins.......

......but to our disappointment. It's do or die this Sunday.

Finished watching the match at 7ish and decided to go to Vic Market. This would be the most ideal time to shop for groceries but it is unlikely that I am gonna wake up at this time or stay up until this time again.
After breakfast - SLEPT - woke up at 5pm. Hah
Last craving for the day - Chocolate :)

Max B - Venezuela Light Chocolate
And there you go - an update! Been very lazy bringing out a camera everywhere. It's a hassle sometimes.

Anyway, a get together to celebrate Hyo Sun's birthday @ 2506 with the usual.

I swear to you, if Hyo Sun wasn't Korean she would be a blonde. She tried blowing out those 'candles' talk about bimbotic.

The most 'expensive' birthday cake ever. Check out the decorations :)

Facial expression says it all

Played couple of drinking games. I have to say this was the funniest. You are required to say the person's name and then ask any question and that person have to immediately ask another person another question unrelated to the previous one. If you stutter or laugh or fail to ask another question, you drink.
Ben: Marcus, can you eat my balls?
Me: *laughs*
Marc: Hyo are you ready?
Hyo: Huh?
Marc: What is the ..... *drinks*
Marc: What is the ..... *drinks*
Marc: Ok...What is the...*drinks*
Marc: MARCUS! What is the alcohol blablabla i can't remember what he stuttered.

Thanks to Shazy for being an EMO all the time. He started singing Aerosmith in the most squeaky tone which led everyone crowded outside the balcony to talk about life.
And whenever Marc and Shazy had argument, they go 'its ok, harimaus for life'. Cempakians geez.

At this point, all of them were gone. As you can see in the following pictures, random doings = signs of them being pissed drunk.

Trying to reenact Harry Potter/Hari Raya. Whatever floats their boat.

And for their love of the song Umbrella, they had to dance to it in the middle of the night.
Jon and Shazy being the 'rain' and Marc - 'you can stand under my umbrella, ella ella eh'

The pictures do the talking
Alas the weekend is here ! First full week of uni with only 12 contact hours. Just gotta love commerce ;) Anyway, the day started with us heading off to Victoria Market to restock on the groceries and then we made our way to the city for shakes!

This statue/guy reminds me of Euro Trip! He moves like a robot.
*Ben wanted to point at the robot's crouch and realized it was an indecent act*

The new toy, Ez Curl

...and thats for all the boys. Time to pump it up

The holy grail of alcohol. 95% proof, the next best thing to
Everclear
Marc's random creation - Jelly, Paraiso, Vodka

Jon's shot - Kahlua, Paraiso, Bailey, Spiritus

Marc, Aiksin, Jon and Nat

More DDR on a Friday night. Geez.
Ben & Shazy

Talk about insanity
